Each pair is one-of-a-kind.  Set in sterling silver on hand foraged sterling ear hooks.  Earrings measure about 1" in length (plus 1 pair of studs, about 0.5" in diameter).
  
What is opalized wood?  Once upon a time, this was wood—living, growing, rooted somewhere wild. Then it was buried… ash, sediment, time stacking up. No air. No rush.

Slowly, silica-rich water moved in and did its thing—replacing what was there, cell by cell, holding onto every line, every grain… but turning it into stone. Opal.
