Wyoming - this place of wide open spaces, majestic beauty, and harsh environs - is sacred.  While we know that this countryside is not something to be exploited and “owned”, but something to be honoured and treasured, we cannot forget that we are on native land.  Over the past 11,000 years, the people of the Arapaho, Arikara, Bannock, Blackfeet, Cheyenne, Crow, Gros Ventre, Kiowa, Nez Perce, Sheep Eater, Sioux, Shoshone and Ute tribes have all resided here.

These necklaces are a subtle nod to the Crow tribe, well known for their exquisit beadwork.  Vibrant reds and blues, chosen for their symbolic meanings, are speckled with genuine turquoise, lapis lazuli, and tiger's eye.  In tribal cultures, blue symbolizes confidence, wisdom, sky, moon, and water.  Red symbolizes sunset, earth, and blood that was shed by Native people.

May the Native Lands Necklace serve as a reminder that we are on sacred, native lands.

Necklaces are 16" with a sterling silver lobster clasp.  Choose from red with a lapis lazuli teardrop, or blue with a turquoise teardrop. Small variations occur in each necklace.
